A couple years ago I was in Placerita Canyon just about 10 days after a major burn there. Trees that showed major charring and that the professionals didn't think could bounce back amazed everybody by putting out new bright green leaves. I'm not surprised that your trees are already beginning to recover but I am very pleased.
I like the idea of a special fire lemon concoction. It will be interesting to see if there is any detectable difference in flavor.

I'm gobsmacked at how soon new growth is showing in the midst of such devastation. I'm going to have a big ball of healing energy for the forest sent your way this weekend, so be prepared for some tingling (of the good sort)! :)

For years the only fire insurance provider was California FAIR Plan, but recently other insurance companies have been willing to take the risk. Unfortunately, a number of residents wound up letting their insurance lapse due to lack of money.

The big concern now, of course, is flooding this coming winter. With the hills almost completely barren, the runoff is going to be intense. Theoretically, the Forest Service is going to lay sand bags around my lot, but even if they don't I'm going to be building up fortifications before the rain starts to fall.

I am glad there is new growth. A little rain will really help that.

I am now sending energy for the power lines to be repaired as soon as possible.

Is it even possible to get fire insurance in that canyon? I was wondering if it is even available. It might be pretty expensive, I would think, even if it is available.

Hopefully, you will never need it ever again.
