Little Tujunga Fire Update

As many of you know, the Santa Ana winds have kicked in with a vengeance and the wildfire season has begun. I’ve gotten several phone calls wanting to make sure I’m OK, and I’m happy to report that all is well here in Big Tujunga Canyon. The Marek Fire began in Little Tujunga, some 10-15 miles west of my house, and the winds are pushing it further west, away from me and the pups.

The L.A. Times gives an overview of the fire and its history:

For maps and containment information, InciWeb is the best and most accurate site to check, even if its information is not always up to the minute.

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. My only hope is that this Santa Ana condition dies down soon so the firefighters on the line can stomp this fire out and that no lives are lost while the fire remains.
